We offer an array of unique mental health services to adults and teens residing throughout all of New York State and Connecticut. Services are typically provided individually and via a secure telehealth platform; however, in-person options are available. In-person services are available for NYS and CT residents within traveling distance to North White Plains, NY .
Please note that all in-person services may be weather-permitting and require an intake session conducted online prior to beginning. Ecotherapy and MBCT sessions are not covered by insurance and costs are out of pocket.
For a full list of services, visit the "services" tab or contact us to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
Art Therapy, facilitated by a professional art therapist, effectively supports personal and relational treatment goals as well as community concerns. Art Therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change.

You do not have to be an artist to benefit from art therapy. Our focus is on using the creative process to explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, and foster self-awareness. Any artwork created is done so in a space of non-judgment. Consider these questions:
Is it hard to describe what you are feeling or experiencing?
Are you looking for better ways to manage your thoughts, mood, and impulses or feel more in control?
Do you find it helps or that you feel better when you can get creative?
Do you feel ready to explore the underlying roots of your thoughts and patterns?
Do you want to learn strategies that you can use daily outside of therapy sessions?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, art therapy may be a great fit for you.
The duration of therapy sessions can vary, lasting anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the type of therapy and your needs. Typically, our sessions are 45 minutes and occur weekly starting out.
It's essential to communicate with your therapist about session length, frequency, and any other logistical considerations to ensure that the therapy process aligns with your preferences and needs.
Therapy is confidential and therapists are bound by laws and ethics to maintain client confidentiality to the best of their ability. This means that information about your counseling is not shared with anyone without expressed written permission by you. However, there are some exceptions required by law to this rule where the therapist is required to report certain information which include:
If there is the possibility of serious and foreseeable harm to the client or another person
In cases of child or elder abuse
Unless it is one of the specific circumstances in which exceptions to confidentiality exists, you will be asked to sign a release of information form before any information is shared. This may include sharing diagnoses with your insurance company to cover the cost of services or sharing information with other practitioners, like physicians, in order to help provide you with the best possible care.
In therapy with minors, we typically require parental consent, obtaining permission from a parent or legal guardian to work with the minor. While we strive to maintain confidentiality, there are limits, and we may need to breach confidentiality in cases involving harm or abuse. In some instances, older minors may have the legal right to consent to their own mental health treatment. It is a delicate balance to navigate, but we strive to maintain confidentiality and parent-involvement, when appropriate, based on the nature of the issues being addressed. These aspects of confidentiality will be discussed further during informed consent to ensure clarity for both the minor and the parent/guardian. Our aim is to always foster open communication and trust in the therapeutic relationship.
